Mood Tiles

Description: The idea is to create a wall decoration that is intractable. As the common decorations are always static, therefore the concept & main idea of this project is to enhance the experience and interactions of people. The design of the tiles is based on the cultural patterns of the races in Malaysia, as for the first phase of this project, the culture of 3 big races in Malaysia was the chosen. The interaction is a simple touch on the surface of the tiles and each tile has a different response when interact, is a combination of lights effects and audio. The audio chosen is based on the culture as well. The tiles were made with wood and the original wood color was remain to give a more natural feel and look consistent when placed together. The tiles start with a base that contains 4 tiles that are linked together. Individual tiles can be placed around the base freely as long as it is connected to the base technically.
