Description: Mao is an interactive flip book that tells a short story through animation displayed using Pepper’s ghost illusion technique. Mao aspires to convey how minor changes to our daily lifestyle can impact the environment. We hope to inspire our audience to make the same changes: not wasting water, electricity, and non-renewable energy. These are among the issues that need to be tackled to achieve overall sustainability, as determined by The Global Goals, for a better world by 2030.
Mao carries a children’s book vibe and uses very simple language. Through educational, fun, and attractive visuals, users should be able to better acknowledge the issues, and do something about it for their own greater good.
This project is created in support of several United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals: #3 Good Health and Well-Being, #7 Affordable and Clean Energy, #11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, #12 Responsible Consumption and Production, and #13 Climate Action.
